1950 Ford Woodie
Looking for a Ford shoebox woodie? Look no more as you have found the best of the best. The early '50 is the most desirable and iconic of the 49-51 Ford woodies. This beautifully restored and modified early 1950 Ford woodie wagon features a modern drivetrain consisting of a fuel injected 5.0 Mustang engine with a heavy duty Ford AOD (automatic overdrive) transmission controlled by a Lokar floor shifter with power ending in a modern 8.8" Mustang rear-end. There is a surprise under the hood with air induction boost from a Paxton supercharger that adds horsepower with smooth snappy acceleration. The woodie features beautifully applied paint over a near perfect body. The factory correct maple wood body and wood tailgate feature many coats of marine spar varnish that contrasts nicely with the cherry red paint. The chrome and stainless moldings are bright and shimmering. The front suspension is the tried and true Volare, consisting of power disc brakes and power steering. The interior is the factory 3 seat arrangement with supple pleated leather. The steering wheel is a rare mahogany Nardi and tilt wheel steering column. The stock looking radio features an AM/FM conversion with amplifier and stereo speakers. The dash and interior garnish moldings are beautifully woodgrained. The wheels are wider than stock with radial tires.
This early 1950 Ford woodie wagon is a dream to drive at freeway speeds, carrying the occupants safely to destinations only of dreams.
This handsomely modified woodie is priced far below the build cost at $84,500.00
