"RESTOROD" is a word to describe the most desirable of the modified woodie wagons.
This 1951, Country Squire, Ford Woodie wagon fits the restored description perfectly and was built and restored by one of the founders of "Wavecrest, the Doherty family.
It is a frame off restoration sporting a fuel injected 5.0 Mustang, 302 cu" engine and Ford overdrive transmission. The power is directed through a Ford 9" Currie rear end with freeway gears. The front end is a rack and pinion, Mustang II type, with power disc brakes. The paint and body are near flawless finished in a deep blue paint that appears bottomless. The maple wood is new with many coats of marine spar varnish. The interior is unbelievably plush with bucket seats from an "S" Mercedes Benz, done in the beautiful MBZ tan supple leather, with shoulder harness seat belts. The interior garnish molding and dash are done with a wonderful dark mahogany wood graining. The options are: Cold A/C, CD player, DVD player, power steering, power disc brakes, power windows, power seats and power door locks with remote. The entire interior is done in matching MZB supple leather with a unique detail to the cargo area. The red stock style wheels are wider than stock and sport '51 hubcaps and trim ring that ride on new radial tires.
This Woodie wagon cruises with all the safety features of a modern car with all the bells and whistles.
The build cost on this wonderful "Restorod" is at least $150K and is offered for a mere $79,900.
